Freedom of the Parish Awards

These awards were created in 2017 to celebrate those residents who have gone above and beyond in their day to day lives. People who deserve special recognition for their hard work in our community, have shown commitment to a group or a charity, or who cares for others.

The awards belong to the community and the judging panel who look at all the nominations are made up of previous years winners.

An awards night is held each year with scrolls handed over to the winners and their names inscribed on a honours board on display in Harling Old School Hall.

Sadly our awards for 2020 could not go ahead but we hope to still go ahead with our ceremony later in the year or early in 2021.

Our two very well deserving winners for 2020 are Mr Philip Edge and Mrs Jean Denniss and they were awarded at the village awards night in May 2022.

Also this year the Parish Council presented a special Chairman's award to Mrs Elizabeth Mould for her hard work, commitment and service during the Covid-19 lockdown, supporting vulnerable residents throughout 2020/2021.
